Rocky intertidal species richness in Nova Scotia (Canada) and Helgoland (Germany)

We have recently documented the species richness of rocky intertidal communities in Nova Scotia (Canada) and Helgoland (Germany). Surveys were done across full vertical gradients of intertidal elevation and horizontal gradients of wave exposure and/or ice scour intensity. The studies appear as:
